How to Make your Donation
Many of our customers like to donate the change from their coffee or to leave a small donation in our bowl at the till. If you would like to visit and give us a donation of any amount you can ask any member of our team. We can receive donations in cash, cheque or card payments in our office and can advise you about making a pledge to donate via bank transfer (please see more details below).
Thank you for pledging a donation to The Usual Place. You can use the following ways to make your donation/s:
Online with Justgiving; Pledge a donation or come into our Cafe to donate by cheque, cash or bank transfer; Join Friends of The Usual Place; or make a Larger Donation through our Philanthropic Usual Futures Fund.

To make a one-off donation you can use: our Justgiving Checkout (without incurring any admin fees for The Usual Place).

How to Make your Donation

Cheques
For cheques (payable to The Usual Place or Inspired Community Enterprise Trust Ltd) please send to The Usual Place, Academy Street, Dumfries, DG1 1BZ.
Cash or Card
For cash or card please bring your donation to The Usual Place, Academy Street, Dumfries, DG1 1BZ or call 01387 253485 (open Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4pm).
Gift Aid
With Gift Aid, any donations you make will be worth 25% more at no extra cost to you.
You must be a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of your donations across all Charities, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
The Usual Place reclaims 25p for every £1 you donate from the tax you pay for the current tax year. If you change your name, address or tax status, do let us know.

Meaningful Philanthropic Giving: The Usual Futures Fund
We have a new way to give larger amounts via Our Futures Fund which can be one-off donations or recurring donations over 3-5 years.
The Usual Futures Fund has been set up set up to provide something important: the independence and flexibility to respond quickly to young people’s needs, to plan ahead with confidence, and to devote more of our time to the work itself and mentorship rather than administration in an uncertain funding landscape.
Alongside our Friendship Circle, it will become a vital source of philanthropic support — enabling The Usual Place to expand capacity, sustain training programmes, and commit fully to each young person’s journey.
By contributing to this fund, donors become part of every future success story. Your support strengthens the path for young people who simply need the chance to show what they can do.
