Volunteering at The Usual Place

Help Us Enable the Next Generation at The Usual Place

Our volunteers are amazing people who bring time, expertise and great enthusiasm to support our team in a variety of ways. Here at The Usual Place, there are many volunteer roles. For example, we have volunteers in food preparation, kitchen portering, laundry, admin, setting up for events, customer service, special events, social media, IT, hospitality, developing aspects of our Programmes and many other roles. All our volunteering opportunities are advertised on our vacancies page.

Why do we involve volunteers?

Volunteers:

  • help reflect and build a bridge between us and the community we serve and in doing so become community ambassadors.
  • bring diversity which enriches The Usual Place and all the people who train here, volunteer here and work here.
  • bring a valuable range of qualities and skills, perspective, experience and expertise.
  • can help us to increase our capacity and in doing so, reach even more people in our community.
  • can gain valuable skills and experience which will enhance their CV, give them social contacts and give them a fun, enjoyable time whilst doing so.
