Heidi Perfects her Cake Icing Skills

This morning, Heidi has been very busy in the kitchen with Mentor, Debbie. As well as baking this exciting ‘funfetti’ cake, she has also been practicing and enhancing her piping skills to decorate it – look at how pretty and precise those decorations are!

There are a number of skills and techniques Heidi had to use to perform these tasks, including reading the recipe correctly and carefully, ensuring good hygiene was maintained to prevent cross-contamination, as well as creative and co-ordination skills to ensure that the decorations were piped to perfection.
